Hospitals are a great environment for bed bugs to thrive. Take caution when checked into a hospital for long periods of time. Inspect the hospital bed, check for fecal blood smears, fecal stains and inspect any additional furniture. If bed bugs are found, notify the hospital staff immediately.
“People don’t expect to find bedbugs at a sanitary place like a hospital, but that’s what a Valley woman found, after her daughter was admitted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, officials with Banner issued a statement, which reads, in part:
“We are responsive to any concerns expressed by our patients. We take immediate action to remedy isolated incidents as soon as we are notified.””
